What is checked baggage?

Checked baggage is the luggage that is stored in the aircraft's cargo hold during the flight and is not carried on board by the passenger.

You drop off your checked baggage at a self-service counter or at the counter with the airline's staff. The information boards in the terminals indicate which baggage counter you should proceed to. If possible with your airline, we recommend that you drop off your baggage at a self-service counter. In most cases, this allows you to avoid queues and waiting times at the airport, and you can proceed to the security checkpoint more quickly.

What do I do with large baggage such as strollers, skis, and bicycles?

If you are traveling with large baggage, you will need to check it in as odd-size or special baggage.
