American Airlines celebrated its first flight to Philadelphia

Today marked the inauguration of American Airlines’ new route between Copenhagen and Philadelphia, introducing both a new airline and a new destination from Copenhagen Airport. Yesterday’s arriving passengers were treated to goodie bags from Copenhagen Souvenir and gourmet licorice from LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW. The departing passengers enjoyed Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches from SSP Denmark.

The inauguration was also highlighted by speeches from the American Ambassador to Denmark, Alan Leventhal; VP of International Operations at American Airlines, José Freig; Chief Commercial Officer at Copenhagen Airport, Peter Krogsgaard; and VP Global Tourism at Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, Svetlana Yazovskikh, CTIS.

We are excited to welcome American Airlines to Copenhagen and are grateful for the excellent cooperation we have already achieved on this new route. We look forward to continuing and enhancing our collaboration with American Airlines in the future.
